Old Americans
Side by side in the Shenyang Railway Museum when it was at the Botanical Gardens site were two American built locos dating back to the earliest years of the South Manchurian Railway. DB1 28 is one of around 60 2-6-4 tanks built by ALCo at Richmond VA in 1907-8. PL1 220 is also a 1907 ALCo, one of 30 2-6-2 tender engines obtained from Rogers Works in New Jersey. It is thought to really be PL1 22.
