An influx of western enthusiasts during the steam era helped to fund the transformation of Reshui from a sleepy farming village to a bustling modern town. In spite of the lack of western visitors since the end of steam, that growth has continued, as evidenced by the smart new buildings in the background of this picture. DF4 6104 was photographed high above Reshui as it descended from Tunnel 7 with an eastbound coal train on 6 October 2006.
