The XK13 Class was a standard Polish industrial 0-6-0T design supplied to China in the late 1950s. Like the larger ET7 0-8-0Ts they were built by Fablok (Chrzanow) and served the steel industry. XK13 5904 worked at Baotou Steelworks, where it was photographed at the loco depot on 12 April 1988. The numbering of the XK13s was erratic to say the least. Some carried numbers based on their Fablok works numbers, so XK13 5551 was Fablok No 5551, but XK13 5904 was Fablok 3856 so work that one out!
