These pictures were taken during a March 1996 trip to Cuba. The weather was very mixed with a lot of cloud and rain as well as bright sunshine. As well as hindering our photography, the rain disrupted the cane harvest as the mechanical cutters had to wait for the ground to dry out before resuming work. No cane meant no trains and we spent a lot of time sitting around in good weather waiting for things to start moving again. It wasn't an easy trip but we did get some reasonable shots. |
