Number 1327, a 1911 Baldwin 2'6" gauge 2-8-0, hauled loaded cane cars back to Espartaco mill on 11 March 1996.
Although most of Cuba's sugar cane railways were standard gauge, other gauges were also fairly common. Espartaco was one of three mills between Santa Clara and Cienfuegos that relied on similar narrow gauge Baldwin 2-8-0s for power.
