Skoda built 22 twin-unit class 125 electric locos for the broad gauge SRT line in 1976. The 87km SRT links Matovce, on the Ukrainian border, with the steelworks at Haniska pri Kosiciach, south of Kosice. The locos are primarily used in pairs (i.e. 2x Bo-Bo+Bo-Bo) on heavy iron ore trains over the line.
125.844, 125.843, 125.842 and 125.841 waited at Matovce with a loaded ore train on 15 May 2003.
