Clashing Colours
Things can get a bit messy when a railway decides to change its livery but few sets of colours go together as badly as FGWs original green and gold and the replacement purple and pink. It wouldn't have been so bad if they'd tried to keep vehicles in the same colours together but mixed sets were all too common. 43.186 and 43.010 led a mainly green set past Moreton crossovers while working 1A35, the 09:40 from Bristol to Paddington, on 7 November 2003.
