It had been one of those days. The weather at Pingzhuang had been mixed but there was never any sun when there were trains around. We'd waited in the gloom for 30 minutes while an SY was serviced at the stabling point then watched in despair as it left 10 seconds before the sun came out. Then, just when it seemed too late, a train was heard approaching from the north, crawling up the grade very, very slowly. After an eternity, an SY trundled across the bridge at the same time that the sun dropped out of the clouds and hit the horizon. It's nice to win one occasionally.
