SS9G electrics worked almost half the passenger services we saw from the Dongnan Jialou on the morning of 23 November 2016, including Z140, the 18:22 from Nantong. Beijing normally gets the newest and most capable locomotives and I was expecting to see more HXD3Ds than SS9Gs but that was not the case.
SS9G 0187 backed the empty stock for Z140 out towards the carriage sidings 25 minutes after arrival. Note the ice and snow on the leading coach.
