QJ 2529 tackled the climb from Liushu to the summit north of Nancha unassisted on the morning of 1 March 1989, taking us by surprise. It had seemed a pretty safe bet that if both the assisting engines were down at Nancha there wouldn't be a freight from the north. QJ 2529 and its short freight proved that theory wrong.
