Until May 2000 the line from Brno to Zdar nad Sazavou formed part of the principal passenger route between Brno and Praha. When the Brno to Ceska Trebova line was electrified the Zdar route lost all its prestige trains. In 2005 a couple of EuroCity services came back but only for one year. An unidentified class 350 led EC174, the 06:20 Budapest - Hamburg EuroCity, onto Dolni Loucky viaduct on 15 April 2005.
